Dr. Majd Marrache is a Johns Hopkins and Harvard/MGH trained hip and knee reconstruction specialist dedicated to helping patients restore mobility, relieve pain, and return to the activities they enjoy most. He combines world-class academic training, advanced surgical techniques, and a commitment to innovation to provide personalized, evidence-based care for patients with hip and knee disorders.
Dr. Marrache specializes in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, including direct anterior total hip arthroplasty, the Superior Transverse Anatomic Reconstruction (STAR) minimally invasive hip replacement, robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty, partial knee replacement, and complex joint reconstruction. His approach is centered on understanding each patient's goals and delivering individualized treatment that maximizes function, recovery, and long-term outcomes.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, and raised between Lebanon, Canada, and the Gulf region, Dr. Marrache earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the American University of Beirut before completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins University. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Marrache serves as Director of Global Orthopaedics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he is committed to building partnerships between orthopaedic programs worldwide through education, research, innovation, and the exchange of surgical expertise. His interests also include robotics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies that will shape the future of joint replacement surgery.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Marrache is a devoted husband and proud father of two children. Together with his wife, an infectious disease physician, he is passionate about advancing healthcare, education, and service both locally and internationally.
